Staging sites
The concept of staging sites and how they work
Until you publish your site, it lives on a staging site. You can use the staging site to view your work as you build.
Your staging link
When you create a Blutui site, a staging site is created automatically at [your-site].blutui.com. Whenever you push new code, you can see the changes at this link.
The staging link always shows your active Cassette. Pages you create on other Cassettes won't appear here. See Pages Belong to a Cassette.
Previewing a non-active Cassette
Each Cassette has its own preview link, for example [your-site]-preview-dev.blutui.com. To find it, click the ⋯ (options) button next to the Cassette.
A preview link only shows the Cassette it belongs to. If you're sharing a non-active Cassette, send that Cassette's preview link and not the link for a different Cassette.
Sharing your staging site
While your site is unpublished, your staging link and all Cassette preview links are password protected. After you publish, the active Cassette is your live site and anyone can view it, but preview links for your other Cassettes stay password protected. To share the site without giving someone admin access, send them the link and the site's password.
To find the password, open your project in the Agency Console, go to Settings, and look under Password protection. The same password works for every password protected link. See Sharing a Preview With Your Client.
